Body, Rhythm, Inspiration

Writer: RoussanaRoussana

What a lovely day I had at the opening of my newest exhibition "Body, Rhythm, Inspiration". It was great to see so many friends and colleagues, who came to support me and see the ballet performance and my paintings, of course. However, it was quite funny that I got equally as many compliments for my pendant as for my art. The pendant is indeed special to me, as it was a present from my Japanese artist friend @Toshi Yamada. It was a good few years ago, but it is still one of my favourite pieces of jewellery… or is it a medal, personal work of art perhaps. Everybody was asking about the meaning of it. Is it a landscape, is it an abstract, does it have anything to do with Japanese folk-tales? Does functional art have a bigger impact than fine art? What do you think? What do you see in these medallions? Thank you Toshi Yamada for this gift and I can’t wait to see you again at FIDEM 2020.
